When you say ?your dizzy", what?
If this is the large cap HEI I did for you earlier, remove the HEI module and add the HEI magnetic pickup to MSD box wiring harness, plug it in and go. This loom will connect to the two flat blade terminals coming off the pickup, and to the MSD two wire connector.
Same for one of my small body MSD trigger only dists, remove module and coil wire set, connect loom to both flat blade connectors, and to MSD connector, same loom. |

Of course I mean the HEI you did ;)
Aren't you the founder of the word dizzy?
Guys at V8 blame ya for it, they hate when folks use dizzy instead of distributor.
I just wanted to check and make sure with ya before I messed with anything. |

NOPE, it wasn't me, but, of course, all the weenie wavers and dong jackers in charge over there blame me for just about everything, from kidnapping the Lindberg baby up to and including electing their miscreant cousin, OSAMA, President. I don't like the word dizzy either, I use "dist".
From MSD, in their package there will be two wire looms, one will be an extension cable, with both male and female black two wire plugs. This loom extends the wire set out of the MSD box, to the distributor, if the box is mounted 15 or so oinches away from the dist.
The important loom is, the one identified in the MSD info as the one that REPLACES the HEI module, does literally that, replaces the HEI module and stock wire package between it and the cap. It has two flat blade terminals, one large, one small, to connect it to the magnetic pickup wires, and one two wire connector to connect to the extension cable. THIS is the one to use.
For one of my conversion dists, same looms, just disconnect the HEI module from the two magnetic pickup wires, connect the flat blade terminals of the loom to the pickup wires, GO. |

OK, id just rather ask then have ya yell at me if done wrong
I might have to buy the cable adapter or what not, not sure what it will all come with yet. [its used]
Of all those who wish ill will on me a few still like me.
That dude who is hooking me up with that Fageol blower kit for the 60* V6 tossed in a MSD box too for just $15.
Couldn't say no to that.
And probably the only way id end up with a box till this economy turns around.
Buddy 614street is gonna help with tech as he bought out all the old Fageol stock, though Mike Fagoel is still around, helpful n friendly too.

OK, How long do you need the extension wire set to be (between MSD box and distributor), IN INCHES, PLEASE. And, you need the module bypass wire as well? I presume so. |

Yes I would probably need both sets of wires.
OK here comes the dumb questions.
Is there an ideal length to use or not use?
Like if it’s to far away does it affect anything?
Is there and idea place to mount the box, like in a spot where the fan can blow on it like the guys do with your small cap, with the module and coil mounted to get good air?
I do not have the box yet.
But if you say you don’t like the leads to be more then so many inches long, Ill mount it where ever I can to keep them at that min distance.
I don’t need it mounted to be on display, ill put it where ever is best. |

The replacement loom for replacing the HEI module will end up being 8 inches or so.
How long an extension cable do you need??? |

OK got it all installed, felt low on power at first but it was a quick n dirty test hook-up.
Re wired and redid timing, all is well.
So far a good deal for $15.
Though I did it so I could leave 90% of the HEI stuff in place, just incase.
Small hole n a gromet to run the pickup wires out the bottom, used my own spades to connect. |

So far the only thing I notice is less gurgle from the glass packs when I let off the gas while still moving. Like there is a more complete burn. |

Also better cold start up, it not only sat for a few days but was cold outside.
So far id say it would be worth it to pay full price if someone is still on the edge of buying one. |

Was funny though as I had to get ahold of MSD tech when I first had troubled and it was down on power.
They asked what kind of parts I had, and he had no clue who you were and suggested getting a MSD dizzy. Like any production run stuff could compare to hand built with the attention to detail of an old pro.
Though my problem was I ran all the wires together, and there is a reason they come out on different ends. Running the coil wires in front of the rad and to the coil, rather then with the mag pickup wires across the engine fixed it all up. |
