Dave just emailed me tonight, and told me about a delay due to waiting for magnetic pickups from MSD. Sounds like mine should be done soon.

The post by Milton mentioned 7 done, but it sounds like there are many more than that in the pipeline.

" Time for a little more patience I guess."

Yes, that would be a good idea.

For all he has done even before some of us were even born, he's earned it. The trust that is, that it will get done but more importantly; done RIGHT.

Like Michelangelo painting the 16th chapel

"When will it be done Michel!!!”

"When it’s done."

[Then I can try and get my vac advance dizzy tricked out for my S15??? S now stands for SuperCharged .]

I'm happy for you Greg, but totally baffled why Dave won't even acknowledge my existence, much less that of my distributor and my money order that I sent him on May 29. I have not heard from him in any way, shape or form, despite many emails, phone calls, and even a mailing including all the documentation proving that I indeed did send all of the above. I am totally dissapointed in a man who has had a good reputation, and even put his life on the line when it counted. Can anybody answer for him since he won't answer for himself?

Tom, I know that Dave reads this forum regularly. Hopefully he will reply and clear things up.

Milton here.

EVERYBODY, CALM DOWN AND STOP FLOPPING AROUND LIKE A FISH OUT OF WATER.

I have JUST arrived at Dave's place mid day yesterday, and there is a lot to do, like getting his house and shop back working.

I have just ordered the things I will need to get the orders finished, including getting his computer back up and running, and things like the ink for the printer for the installation instructions sheets, and a lot of other things as well.

The distributors have been done for quite a while, it is the rest of the things like shipping info and instructions that we need to get back up and running, before I can ship again.

Please remember, this ship has been closed down and Dave hasn't had communications for over 8 months, all this ain't going to come back in half a second, it'll take a few days for me to get stuff back working.

So, CALM DOWN, nobody's getting ignored, nobody has lost anything, and nobody will lose anything. give me, and Dave, the time it takes to get this place back up to speed. I can['t say just how many days it will take, but it shouldn't be too much longer.

And, PLEASE, do njot send a million emails, nor call every 5 minutes, I won't respond to that, it won't help things at all. I, and Dave, just don't have the time to spend on the phone and computer, there are just too many other thigns we need to get done at the moment.

I have been here less than one day, and the hardest thing so far is keeping Dave calm. He is so upset with what has happehed to him and the shop, he is trying to do everything at once, and not much is getting done. He has NO patience for things like ink for his printers taking three days to get here, stuff like that.

As I said, I am here, and am working on a number of things to get the place going, and orders shipped, etc.

I am going to go quiet again now, and keep Dave from going off, so, give both of us the benefit of the doubt and let us get things working.

The 800 pound gorilla is calling me to come help him work on/fix a machine, so I am gone.

Regards,

Milton Stott

My distributor arrived today, and it looks good. Extensive instructions and handwritten timing and idle recommendations. Emailing with Dave right now, and he seems back to his 'normal' self.

Hey Greg,

Me too!!! I was really surprised when the mailman knocked on the door and handed me a box from NV. As you said, everything looked really good, well packaged, great instructions and a long, excellent letter from Milton explaining the whole mess that Dave has gone through, in detail. Good luck to Dave in his recuperation and thanks to Milton for being such a good friend.

Tom, glad to hear it! Really glad it turned out right.

I'm excited, because this lets me fire up my engine for the first time since the rebuild. I'm not even a Buick guy, so you won't see me around the forum, but there will be a Dave's HEI powering yet another Chevy small block down the road. ;)

One last word from me: After getting my distributor back from Dave in Feb, I got real busy with work and didn't get a chance to install it until last weekend. of course i cut the wrong wire when tracing my resistance wire but got that straightened out. Finally fired it up last night after tying to install the darn thing TWO teeth off. Good grief!! You would think I had never done this stuff. But fire it did and it works so nice. Great product Dave and thanks to your friend Milton.

I hope you are recovering on schedule and doing good.

Tom

Yep we could use a good word or two on what is up.

And when I can send in a dizzy for repair ;)

I could do it but a monkey could also fly a plane.
Doesn't mean its a good idea ;)

Hi, Dave.

Are you up and running, yet? I understand that you've been through a lot (to say the least), but I haven't seen anything from you lately.

I sure am interested in having you perform your conversion on another 455 distributor.

Dan Gerber
